SXC Consent & Autonomy Policy

Effective date: 1st January, 2026.

1. Purpose

SXC is a provider-first platform built on consent, autonomy, and respect.

This policy exists to:

  • Affirm that providers control their work, boundaries, and participation

  • Set clear expectations for customer behaviour

  • Prevent coercion, pressure, and retaliation

  • Support fair moderation of reviews, messages, and trust signals

Consent is foundational to all interactions on SXC.

2. Core Principles

SXC operates on the following principles:

  • Provider autonomy — providers decide what they offer, when, and to whom

  • Ongoing consent — consent is active, contextual, and revocable

  • No entitlement — no booking, message, payment, or prior interaction creates obligation

  • Respect for refusal — refusals do not require justification

Consent on SXC is not transactional.

3. Provider Boundaries

Providers have the right to:

  • Define their own services, limits, and conditions

  • Refuse or discontinue any interaction or booking

  • Change their boundaries at any time

  • Decline requests without explanation

  • End communication that feels unsafe, uncomfortable, or inappropriate

Providers are not required to:

  • Justify refusals

  • Negotiate boundaries

  • Continue interactions after withdrawing consent

4. Withdrawal of Consent

Consent may be withdrawn:

  • At any stage

  • For any reason

  • Without penalty

Withdrawal of consent applies to:

  • Services

  • Messaging

  • Bookings

  • Ongoing or future interactions

Once consent is withdrawn, all pressure to continue is prohibited.

5. Prohibited Customer Behaviour

The following behaviours are not permitted on SXC:

  • Pressuring a provider after refusal

  • Attempting to negotiate boundaries after consent is withdrawn

  • Guilt-tripping, coercion, or emotional manipulation

  • Retaliation through:

    • Negative or misleading reviews

    • Abusive or repeated messaging

    • Ratings intended to punish refusal

  • Threats, intimidation, or leverage based on prior interaction

Such behaviour undermines consent and will be treated seriously.

6. Reviews, Ratings & Retaliation

To protect autonomy and trust:

  • Reviews must reflect the actual service provided

  • Reviews used to retaliate against refusal or boundary enforcement may be removed

  • Ratings that appear punitive or coercive may be discounted or voided

  • SXC reserves discretion to moderate or remove content that violates this policy

Consent-based refusals are not grounds for negative feedback.

7. Trust Scores & Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Trust score reduction

  • Messaging restrictions

  • Review removal or suppression

  • Account warnings

  • Temporary or permanent suspension

Repeated or severe violations may result in account removal.

8. Reporting & Protection

Providers may report:

  • Boundary violations

  • Retaliatory behaviour

  • Pressure or coercion

  • Abuse related to consent withdrawal

Reports are:

  • Handled confidentially

  • Reviewed with care and proportionality

  • Protected from retaliation

Providers will not be penalised for reporting in good faith.

9. Platform Commitment

SXC is committed to:

  • Normalising refusal as part of consent

  • Supporting providers who enforce boundaries

  • Maintaining a professional, respectful environment

  • Designing systems that prioritise autonomy over entitlement

Consent is not optional on SXC — it is the standard.

10. Acknowledgement

By using SXC, all users agree to:

  • Respect provider boundaries

  • Accept refusals without challenge or retaliation

  • Engage only within the limits set by providers

  • Comply with this Consent & Autonomy Policy
