SXC Reporting & Response Policy

Effective date: 1st January, 2026.

1. Purpose

SXC is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and professional platform.

This policy explains how concerns can be reported, how they are handled, and what users can expect when a report is made.

Reporting exists to support safety and clarity — not to punish or police.

2. When to Report

Users may report concerns relating to:

  • Harassment, coercion, or boundary violations

  • Retaliatory or abusive reviews

  • Impersonation or misrepresentation

  • Safety, consent, or trust concerns

  • Suspected policy breaches

  • Technical or account integrity issues

Reporting is appropriate where:

  • A boundary has been crossed

  • A policy may have been violated

  • Someone feels unsafe or pressured

  • Platform rules are being abused

3. How to Report

Reports may be submitted:

  • Through in-platform reporting tools

  • Via designated support or safety channels

  • With or without additional context where appropriate

Reports should include:

  • A brief description of the concern

  • Relevant messages, reviews, or content (if available)

  • Any context the reporter feels comfortable sharing

Reports do not require legal certainty or proof beyond what is reasonably available.

4. Confidential Handling

All reports are:

  • Treated confidentially

  • Reviewed by authorised staff only

  • Handled with discretion and care

  • Access-restricted and logged

SXC does not disclose the identity of reporters except where legally required.

5. What Happens Next

After a report is submitted:

  1. The report is acknowledged

  2. Relevant information is reviewed

  3. Context is assessed alongside platform policies

  4. Appropriate action is determined

Not all reports result in action.

Some may result in guidance, clarification, or monitoring.

6. Response & Proportionality

SXC responses are:

  • Proportionate to the concern

  • Based on evidence and context

  • Designed to reduce risk, not escalate conflict

Possible actions include:

  • No action

  • Content removal

  • Feature restrictions

  • Trust score adjustments

  • Account warnings

  • Temporary or permanent suspension

7. Escalation Paths

Certain reports may be escalated where:

  • There is credible safety risk

  • Repeated or severe policy violations occur

  • Legal or regulatory obligations apply

Escalation may involve:

  • Senior review

  • Temporary account restrictions

  • Referral to external authorities where required by law

8. Non-Retaliation

Retaliation against someone for reporting is prohibited.

This includes:

  • Harassment or threats

  • Review retaliation

  • Account abuse or intimidation

  • Attempts to identify or punish reporters

Retaliation may result in immediate enforcement action.

9. Good-Faith Reporting

Users who report concerns in good faith:

  • Will not be penalised

  • Will be supported

  • Are protected from retaliation

Knowingly false or malicious reports may result in action.

10. Platform Commitment

SXC is committed to:

  • Clear and predictable responses

  • Fair and consistent moderation

  • Supporting users who raise concerns

  • Continuous improvement of safety processes

Reporting is part of maintaining a healthy platform.

11. Acknowledgement

By using SXC, all users agree to:
