SXC Reviews & Reputation Integrity Policy

Effective date: 1st January, 2026.

1. Purpose

Reviews and ratings on SXC exist to support trust, safety, and informed decision-making.

This policy exists to:

  • Protect the integrity of reviews and ratings

  • Prevent abuse, coercion, and retaliation

  • Support fair and consistent moderation

  • Ensure reputation systems reflect genuine experiences

Reviews are not a bargaining tool.

2. Core Principles

SXC operates on the following principles:

  • Honesty — reviews must reflect real interactions

  • Good faith — reviews must not be used to punish or pressure

  • Context matters — moderation considers circumstances

  • No entitlement — access or refusal does not guarantee a review outcome

3. What Reviews Are For

Reviews on SXC may:

  • Describe services actually provided

  • Reflect professionalism, communication, and experience

  • Be positive, neutral, or critical when fair and factual

Reviews are not a channel for:

  • Expressing anger over refusal

  • Pressuring providers

  • Enforcing personal expectations

  • Settling disputes unrelated to the service provided

4. Prohibited Review Practices

The following are prohibited on SXC:

4.1 Retaliatory Reviews

  • Reviews posted after a refusal, cancellation, or boundary enforcement

  • Reviews intended to punish or intimidate

  • Reviews referencing services that were not provided

4.2 Coercion for Reviews

  • Pressuring providers or customers for positive reviews

  • Conditioning service, pricing, or access on reviews

  • Threatening negative reviews to obtain compliance

4.3 Review Trading & Manipulation

  • Exchanging reviews or ratings

  • Coordinated rating activity

  • Fake or misleading reviews

  • Reviews posted by third parties or affiliates

5. Contextual Moderation

SXC reviews are moderated with context, including:

  • Whether a service was actually delivered

  • Whether consent was withdrawn

  • Whether harassment, coercion, or retaliation occurred

  • Message history and booking records

  • Patterns of behaviour across the platform

Moderation is not automated punishment — it is review with discretion.

6. Admin Discretion

SXC reserves the right to:

  • Remove or suppress reviews

  • Adjust or discount ratings

  • Limit review privileges

  • Apply trust score impacts

These actions may occur where reviews:

  • Violate platform policies

  • Undermine consent or safety

  • Are misleading or abusive

  • Are part of repeated harmful behaviour

7. Provider Protection

Providers will not be penalised for:

  • Refusing services

  • Enforcing boundaries

  • Cancelling bookings for safety reasons

  • Reporting abusive or retaliatory reviews

Negative reviews resulting from these actions may be removed.

8. Reporting & Appeals

Users may report:

  • Retaliatory or abusive reviews

  • Suspected review manipulation

  • Coercive review behaviour

Reports are:

  • Reviewed fairly

  • Handled confidentially

  • Assessed with proportionality

Appeals may be considered where appropriate.

9. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Review removal

  • Rating adjustments

  • Trust score reduction

  • Review suspension

  • Account warnings or removal

Repeated abuse of the review system may result in permanent loss of review privileges.

10. Platform Commitment

SXC is committed to:

  • Maintaining a reliable trust system

  • Supporting providers against abuse

  • Applying moderation consistently

  • Prioritising safety and fairness over engagement metrics

Reputation on SXC is earned, not weaponised.
